Mary Lanclos

Opelousas- Funeral service will be held for Mary "Sissy" Winingham Lanclos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Deacon Mitch Hebert and Bishop Schlosser will conduct the Service.

Mary was a resident of Sunset. She passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016, at Lady of Lourdes Hospital, at the age of 73.
Mary loved music, family, spoiling grandkids, crafts at church, playing the piano, visiting friends, loved walking and donating to numerous organizations.

Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Adolph Lanclos of Sunset, mother, Lena Winingham, of Metairie, LA., son, Anthony J. Lanclos, Sr., of Sunset, daughters, Theresa Ann Williams of Laplace, LA., Janelle Lanclos of Destrehan, LA., Toni Higginbotham and her husband, Brian of Pecaniere, LA, brothers, George Winingham and his wife, Carol of New Orleans, and Johnny Winingham, Abita, sisters, Barbara W. Barrosse of River Ridge, Frances W. Brown and her husband, Stanley of New Orleans, Joann W. Vilemont and her husband, Al of Covington, and Kathleen W. Lambert and her husband, George of Harahan, fourteen grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, George Winingham, son, Anthony Michael Lanclos, son n law, Bradley Williams.

Pallbearers will be, Anthony (Joey) Lanclos, Sr., Danny Williams, Bradley Jacobson, Brian Higginbotham, Jr., Joshua (Josh) Lanclos, and Anthony (Little Mike) Lanclos.

Honorary pallbearers will be, AJ Lanclos, Anthony (JoJo) Lanclos, Eli Soileau, Jayden Williams.


The visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016, from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen Saturday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service. Rosary service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.
