Mary Fontenot

Opelousas – A Memorial Service will be held for Mary Jane Fontenot on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas.

Mary, a resident of Carencro, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the age of 62, at Our lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center. Mary was known by Aunt Mary to her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Tony Fontenot of Carencro, and Darin Fontenot of San Antonio, Texas, daughters, Debbie Fontenot (Andy) of Carencro, and Cindy Fontenot fiancé Jared Boudreaux, of Franklin, sisters, Carolyn Anderpont of Opelousas, and Pearl Sonnier of Bridge City, LA., grandchildren, Drew Fontenot, Dylan Fontenot, Brooklyn Fontenot, Julia “JuJu Bean” Fontenot, Sierra Jeansonne, Emile “Peanut” Jeansonne, III, Emily Fontenot, Hannah Fontenot, and Samuel “Sammie” Fontenot, great grandchildren, Adalyn and Allison Tate, Colby and Kyson Funderburk.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Brent “Pappy” Fontenot, her parents, Willie and Mary Castille.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. until time of service in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to help with funeral expenses.
