Our Mothers work here on Earth is done. She went to meet her Lord on January 2, 2013.

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, LA, for Mrs. Mary Eva Noel Richard. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA. Rev. Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass.

Mary was a native and longtime resident of Opelousas. She passed away on January 2, 2013, at Opelousas General Health System at the age of 81. She was a wonderful, loving, and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and greatgrandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Mr. J. V. Richard of Port Barre one son, Terry Gene Richard and wife, Judy of Opelousas three daughters, Linda Guillory and husband, Edward of Lake Charles Tammie Sanders and husband, Patrick of Eunice and Patrice Shaw and husband, Mark of Florien one brother, Lawrence Noel and wife, Jean of Prairie Ronde one brotherinlaw, David Clarke of Opelousas 11 grandchildren and 22 greatgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah Noel and Margaret Sittig Noel one brother, Lloyd Noel one sister, Mabel Clarke granddaughter, AnneMarie Guillory and nephew, Calvin Noel.

Pallbearers will be Brennan Sanders, Brian Guillory, Brad Guillory, Marcus Richard, Travis Lanclos, Gage Harvey, and Ivy Shaw.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, January 4, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Saturday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.
