Opelousas-A Memorial Service will be held for Mary Ellen Broussard, at a later date.

Mary, age 69, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at her home with her family by her side.

She is survived by son, Mitchell A. Ashy III and fiancé Marla Magazzeni of Youngsville, daughter, Tanya Lucas and her fiancé, Norayma Huertas of Opelousas, sister, Diana Lynn Benoit, five grandchildren, Lexi Ashy, Emma Ashy, Isla Rae Ashy, Yvette Perdormo and Destiny Fajardo, and two great grandchildren, Glovanni Beckford and Zorah Beckford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Evelyn Lucas.
