Mary Auzenne

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Verlee Auzenne, age 84, will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, March 29, 2014, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. MSGR. Keith DeRouen will celebrate the Mass.
Mary was a native of Frilot Cove, La., and longtime resident of Opelousas. She died on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at the Evangeline Oaks Nursing Home in Carencro. She enjoyed gardening and visiting with her grandchildren, family and friends she never met a stranger. She was a member of Queen of Angels Catholic Church. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Eileen Auzenne Perry and her husband, James of Carencro, two grandchildren, Alix and Ryan Perry of Carencro.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Murphy Auzenne, and her parents, Goldman and Mabel Auzenne Frilot.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, March 28, 2014, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon.
