Mark Dimonde

Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Mark Dimonde, age 60, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Paul Bienvenu will officiate the services.
Mark was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and was a longtime resident of Opelousas. He passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014, at the St. Landry Extended Care Hospital of Opelousas, LA.
He worked for T. L. James Construction Company for over 30 years. He enjoyed spending time with the family and friends. He also loved to ride his Harley Davidson Motorcycle and repair motorcycles as a pastime. He will long be loved and remembered by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Christa Kniesche Dimonde of Opelousas one son, David Paul Noel and wife, Ramona of Cummings, Georgia three daughters, Carola Gitto and husband, Peter of Dacula, Georgia Doris Deville and husband, Dwayne of Plaisance, LA and Mary Lynn Noel of Opelousas, LA three brothers, Joseph Francis Dimonde of Washington Sylvester Babe Dimonde of California and Miles Dimonde of Lafayette, LA one sister, Bennadette Dimonde Sonnier of Pennsylvania six grandchildren: Christian Gregg, Zachary Gregg and wife, Danielle, Drake Noel, Katlyn Deville, Emily Deville, and Jermie Noel and one greatgrandchild, Callie Gregg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Frank Dimonde and Ann Gulya Dimonde one grandson, Robert Trent Lafleur one sister, Karen Dimonde one brother, Barry John Dimonde.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, April 28, 2014, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. A Rosary service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home.
