Marjorie Totty Roy

Port Barre Funeral services for Ms. Marjorie Elaine Totty Roy, age 69, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 5, 2008, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, followed by interment in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum, Port Barre. The Reverend Mike Guidry will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.

Ms. Totty was a native and long time resident of Port Barre. She passed away at 6:34 a.m. on Saturday, January 3, 2009, at the Opelousas General Health System, Opelousas.

Ms. Totty owned her own business in Port Barre, Roy's Lounge until she was no longer able to run it herself. Totty was a good friend to many and loved by everyone who knew her. She is going to be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include her special daughter, Cynthia Mistric Doucet and her husband, Harold of Port Barre; grandchildren, Mike Marlow and wife Heather of Fayetteville, NC., Brandi Jackson and husband Chris of Denham Springs, La.; brothers, Mike Roy of Baton Rouge, Harry PaJoe Roy of Port Barre; many nieces and nephews and her extended family. She also is survived by her pet poodle Lady Roy.

Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Isaure Devillier Roy, Jr; brothers, Rayfield Roy, Monroe Roy, Creighton ToTo Roy, Clayton Day Roy, Arthur Lee Nutsy Roy; sister, Arleen Sis Mistric.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Sunday, January 4, 2009, from 3 p.m. until the time of services.

A Rosary service will be held on Sunday night at 7:00 p.m.
