Port Barre - A Mass of Christian Burial for Marie Elsie Richard will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, August 24, 2015, in the St. Leo Catholic Church. Fr. Ken Domingue will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in the St. Leo Cemetery.

Elsie was a resident of Lake Charles. She passed away on Thursday August 20, 2015 at the age of 83, surrounded by her family. She enjoyed cooking and watching soaps on television. She loved taking care of her children and grand children. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Gloria Angelle and her husband, Randy of Orange, Texas, step daughter, Linda Guillory, sisters, Nancy Saizan of Pecaniere, Florence Lalonde, of Lake Charles, Loretta Fontenot of Lake Charles, and Denise Janise and her husband, Dean of Baton Rouge, two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Richard, her parents, Francis and Florence Lalonde Badeaux, her brothers, Francois Joe, John and Kenneth Badeaux, sister, Gloria Gene Andrus.

Visitation will begin on Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will reopen on Monday at 8:00 AM until time of service. A rosary service will be held on Sunday at 6:00 PM.
