Marie Moreau

Opelousas - A Mass of Christian Burial for Marie Rosalie Moreau will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 16, 2020, at St. Leo Catholic Church in Leonville. Fr. Darren Eldridge will celebrate the mass. Rite of Committal will follow at the St. Leo Mausoleum.

Mrs. Moreau, age 91, a resident of Opelousas, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 12, 2020, at Heritage Manor Nursing home surrounded by her loved ones.

Mrs. Moreau was a member of the Catholic Daughters of St. Landry Catholic Church and the Council on Aging. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her sons, Charles Wayne Moreau of Gonzales, Michael W. Moreau and wife, Betty of Carencro, James Todd Moreau and wife, Elizabeth of Arnaudville; daughter, Cheryl Ann Moreau Lavergne of Prairieville; grandchildren, Stephen Moreau, Wendy Ovella, Christina McDonough, Kendi Dilorenzo, Christopher Moreau, Lance Moreau, Layne Moreau, Logan Moreau; and 7 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Raymond Moreau; parents, Louis and Artemise Lanclos, Sr.; brother, Louis Bievenue Lanclos; sister, Lillian Robertson; and son-in-law, Kenneth Dale Lavergne.
