Marie Bryant

Funeral Services for Etta Bryant, age 97, will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington.
Mrs. Bryant died peacefully at 11:15 am on Friday, April 3, in Glen Allen, VA where she has been residing since 2002. She is a former resident of Washington and Opelousas where she resided for 84 years. She and her husband owned and operated Bryant's Grocery and Market in Opelousas for over 20 years.
Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her husband, T.V. (Ted) Bryant; her parents Hushel Lafleur and Odette Ortego Lafleur Bordelon; 2 brothers, 5 sisters, 7 step-brothers and 1 step sister.
Survivors include: daughter, Barbara Semple and husband, Ken of Glen Allen, VA; one sister, Jeanette Bailey of Washington, LA; 4 Grandchildren: Carol Watson and husband Brad of Sugar Grove, WV; Todd McCranie and wife Christina of Richmond, VA; Jill McCranie of Richmond, VA; and Deb Mateik and husband Dennis of Bowie, MD. Eight great-grandchildren: Garrett, Carly, Brayden, and Tyler Watson; Emily McCranie; Alex, Ken, and Caity Mateik. Also surviving her is special friend and neighbor, Brenda DeJong.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, April 7, from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm. They will resume on Wednesday morning from 8:00 until the start of services.
