Marie Bourdier

A Funeral Service will be held for Mrs. Marie “Denise” Lazaro Bourdier on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas; with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Deacon Dwayne Joubert will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Denise, age 75, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Denise was a licensed florist and loved to create beautiful arrangements in her spare time. She enjoyed tending to her garden and cooking for her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 52 years Paul Bourdier; son, Paul Bourdier II and wife, Hester Patout Bourdier; daughter, Nicole Bourdier Moore and husband, James Moore; 6 grandchildren, Emily Moore Curtis, Lillian Moore, Missy Bourdier, Crawford Bourdier, George Bourdier and Susie Bourdier.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Ladislas Lazaro II and Lillian Boagni Lazaro; brothers, Dr. Ladislas “Butch” Lazaro III and Stephen Lazaro; and sister, Constance Van Conover.

Pallbearers will be Paul Bourdier II, George Bourdier, Dr. Ladislas Lazaro IV, James Moore, Crawford Bourdier and Timo Curtis.
