Margery Fontenot

Opelousas -Funeral services were for Margery Fontenot, age 90, were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Ville Platte. Rev. Benny Reppond will officiate the services.

Margery was resident of Washington. She died on Monday, November 7, 2016, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. She retired from State of Louisiana Department of Welfare Services in Ville Platte.

Survivors include her, sons, Robert Fontenot and his wife, Debbie of Carencro, and Randy Fontenot and his wife, Donna of Sunset, four grandchildren, Brady and Shaun Fontenot of Lafayette, Nathan Hebert of Lafayette, and Amy Briscoe of Carencro, and seven great grandchildren, Amelie, Reese, Claire, Mallory, Lucy, Laney, and Lennox.

She was preceded in death by his parents, Curly and Marie Godeau Solieau, and her husband, Chester Fontenot, brother, C.L. Soileau.


Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 8, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home.
