Margaret Trahan

Opelousas -Memorial services for Margaret B. Trahan, age 87, will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 406 E. Pinhook Road, Lafayette, Louisiana on Tuesday, February 21st 2017 at 3:00pm.

Margaret was a resident of Lady of the Oaks Retirement Home in Lafayette, where she passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. Margaret was born in Manchester, England and came to the United States in 1955 as a bride. She was a professional seamstress, and enjoyed knitting, cooking and reading.

Survivors include her children, Kirk Trahan and his wife, Melissa of Lafayette, Keith Trahan and his wife, Patricia of Lafayette, Kathy Trahan Royer of Scott, and Patricia Trahan of Lafayette, brother, Tom Burke of Manchester, sisters, Mary Dunn and Patricia Burke of Manchester, ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Winnis Trahan, her parents, Walter and Agnus Graham Burke, brothers, Walter and Brian Burke, sisters, Agnes, Celia, and Hilda, her son-in law Raymond J. Royer and one granddaughter, Emilie.
