Margaret Mcdaniel

Opelousas -Funeral services for Margaret Hudson McDaniel will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel of Opelousas. Interment will follow at the Bellevue Memorial Park. Rev. Jean Stephens will officiate the services.

Margaret was a native of Edgerly, La., and longtime resident of Opelousas. She passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at the age of 87, at her home in Opelousas. Margaret was a member of the Young at Heart of La. Memorial Methodist Church and the Wayne Street coffee club. She is going to be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, James (Randy) McDaniel and his wife, Lois Marks McDaniel of Opelousas, Rise` McDaniel Nicholson and her husband, James, Jr. of Sunset, five grandchildren, Kelly Richard and her husband, Brian of Lafayette, Misty Fredricks and her husband, Jason of Broussard, Carly Myers and her husband, Brach, of Lafayette, Nick Nicholson and his wife, Candice of Madisonville, LA., Sarah Ellen Nicholson of Boulder, Co., three great grandchildren, brother, Wade Husdon of Port Barre.

Preceded in death by her husband, Elmus McDaniel, her parents, Avery Toby and Rena Sonnier Hudson, brothers, Charles Ray Hudson and Robert Lee Hudson.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Wednesday, visitation will continue from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at the funeral home.

Family would like to thank La. Hospice & Palliative for their excellent care and for the caretakers who gave such great love and care to Mom; Janice Jackson, Eunice Jackson, and Mary Lou Moore.
