Grand Coteau Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Mary Sibille Dodge Barry, age 88, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Charles Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, LA. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery.
The Reverend James Lambert S.J., pastor of St. Charles Catholic church assisted by the Reverend Charles Thibodeaux, S.J. will be the celebrants of the Mass of Christian Burial.
Mrs. Barry was a native and life long resident of Sunset and Grand Coteau. She died on Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Opelousas General Health System.
Mrs. Barry was born in Sunset, La. on August 29, 1922. She was a graduate of the College of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau, La. She was a devoted member of St. Charles Catholic Community where she served on the Ladies Altar Society. She was also a member of the Child of Mary Sodality and the Catholic Daughters of America. Prior to her retirement, she was employed with the Bank of Sunset for 49 years she continued to serve on the Board of Directors until her passing. Mrs. Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother her dedication to her family was evident and her presence will be profoundly missed.

Mrs. Barry is survived by her daughters Christine Dodge Fortier and husband Vann of Abbeville and Tammie Dodge Potier and husband David of Sunset son Dennis Walton Sibille Dodge of Baton Rouge eight grandchildren, Chad Fortier and wife Lori of Abbeville, Aimee Fortier of Houston TX., Sara Fortier Donaldson and husband Scott of Lafayette, Mark Warren and wife Brandy of Broussard, Kevin Warren and wife Jamie of Jacksonville, FL., Dustin Warren, Desiree Potier and fiance Anthony Noel, Summer Broussard and fiance Jeremie Landry thirteen great grandchildren, Gabriel and Addison Fortier, Mary Katherine, Emily and Anderson Donaldson, Hunter, Trey, Ciana, Aidan and Devon Warren, Kynli Noel, Tadym Broussard and Jordyn Landry.

Mrs. Barry was preceded in death by her husbands, Telemarque Walton Dodge and Alfred C. Barry parents, Walter Joseph Sibille and Marie Louise Horaist daughter, Cheryl Dodge Warren and siblings, Gaston Horaist Sibille and Sylvia Sibille Dodge.

Pallbearers will be Vann Fortier, David Potier, Chad Fortier, Mark Warren, Aaron Dodge, and Timothy Dodge. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Warren, Malcolm Dodge, Brent Vidrine, Michael Landry, Kenneth Landry, Brandon Dodge, Tommy Sibille and Gino Sibille.

The family would like to send there sincere wishes of thanks to Mrs. Dotsy Savoy, Mrs. Catherine Courville and Mrs. Ester Jones for their loving dedication and care.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Monday, May 23, 2011, from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.
