Margaret Arceneaux

Opelousas A reflection Services for Margaret Hunt Arceneaux age 91, will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

Margaret was a resident of Opelousas. She passed away on Monday, August 18, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System South Campus. She was a member of the LewisburgBellevue fireman Aux., American Legion Aux, Exxon Annuitant Club, Lafayette Home Demonstration Club. She enjoyed her work at Winsburg Clothing Store. She volunteered at Johnny Scott School and U.S.O. during W.W. II. She was a great seamstress and a wonderful cook and baker.

Margaret is survived by her son Donald Arceneaux and his wife, Carla of Opelousas, 2 grandchildren, Charlie Leger and her husband, Tony of Opelousas and Eliska Johnson and her husband, Darrin of Opelousas, 9 great grandchildren, Jayden, Dominic, Mariah, Joby, Margaret, Sarah, Abby, Raphael, and Annie, brother, Dr. Oliver Hunt and wife, Mavis of North Carolina.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, J. Leland Arceneaux her parents, Murry Sr. and Louise McMillan Hunt, brothers, James, Murry, Barney, Owen, Earl Hunt sisters, Gertrude Hunt, Irene Burleigh and Ann McKee.
In Lieu of flowers please make donation to American Cancer Society and St. Judes.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
