Mageline Duhon

Grand Coteau-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for Mrs. Mageline Dargin Duhon. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau.
Mageline passed away on Monday, September 21, 2015, at her daughter's home in Lafayette surrounded by her family at the age of 71. She was born in Lawtell and a longtime resident of Sunset. She was a past graduate of St. Peter Claver High and was a majorette for Christ the King during her grammar school years. She enjoyed listening and dancing to Zydeco music and spending time with her family and friends in the country.
Survivors include her children: Eric Chisley (Delores), Vanessa D. Adams (Harold), and Charlene Human (Josh); her brothers, Nelson Dargin, Anderson Dargin, Rodney Dargin, and James Dargin; and her sisters, Mary Ann Duhon and Renella Simien. She is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Duhon; her parents, Curley Dargin and Catherine Collins Dargin; sisters, Jeanette Payne and Myra Colomb; and two brothers, Philbert Dargin and Clayton Dargin.
Pallbearers will be Eric Chisley, Harold Adams, Jr., Damien Simien, Kevin Duhon, Brandon Dargin, and Frederick Chavis. Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh McKnight, Jr., Gregory Dargin, Nelson Dargin, Anderson Dargin, Rodney Dargin, James Dargin, Presscott Dargin, Joseph Duhon, Harold Adams, Sr., and Patrick Simien.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Saturday, September 26, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday morning in the funeral home.
