MRS. MABLE GUILLORY RICHARD

Port Barre Funeral services for Mable Guillory Richard, 79, will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, August 7, 2007, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, followed by interment in the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington.

The Reverend Nicky Trahan will conduct the services.

Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus. Songs will include If You Get Their Before I Do, Amazing Grace, On Eagles Wings,BRHow Great Thou Are, and Gentle Woman.

Mrs. Richard, a native and resident of Port Barre, died at 3:14AM on Sunday, August 5, 2007 at the Doctor's Hospital of Opelousas.

Mable began her life working in the fields and eventually became a life long homemaker and a fulltime wife, mother, and grandmother. She lived her life to care for others. She also adored her friends and any visitors she may have had. She will be sadly and whole heartedly missed by her family and friends.

Survivors include: four daughters, Mrs. Judy Matte and husband Vincent of Opelousas, Sandra Fontenot and husband Warren of Port Barre, Mrs. Linda Stelly and husband Earl Blue of Opelousas, and Vicky Andrus of Clarksville, Florida; 15 grandchildren 27 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Richard was preceded in death by her husband Howard Richard; her parents, Eraste and Theoza Guillory; three brothers, Burley, Curley,and Eliss Dago Guillory; two sisters, Bertha Stelly and Lillian Hooks.
