Mable Fontenot

Port Barre Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, for Mable Fontenot . Father Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Mable was a resident of Port Barre currently in the J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home where she passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012, at the age of 100.
Mable was a member of the Catholic Daughters in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. She was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother great grandmother. She will sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children Lula Mae Devillier and her husband, Herman of Port Barre, Jane Richard and her husband, Sylvan of Lafayette, daughter in law, Mary Fontenot of Port Barre, eight grandchildren, Tony Fontenot, Renee Soileau, Jason Fontenot, Rachel Ortego, Janet Wood, Jeffery Richard, Sharon Jo Robin, and Joey Dess Devillier, nineteen grandchildren and nine great greatgrandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt Fontenot, son, Luna Fontenot, parents, Simon and Madeline Guidry Wyble, a host of brothers and sisters.

Visiting hours will be observed on Sunday, December 2, 2012, from 11:00 am until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday morning at 8 am until 10:30 am.

A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
