Lula Devillier

Port Barre - A Mass of Christian Burial for Lula Mae Fontenot Devillier will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 3, 2020, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Fr. Clint Trahan will officiate the Mass.

Lula Mae, age 80, a resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 30, 2020, at Opelousas General Health System surrounded by her loved ones.

She is survived by daughter, Sharon Devillier Robin and her husband, Hilton of Port Barre, son, Joey Devillier and his wife, Sabrina of Moss Bluff, sister, sister-in-law, Mary Fontenot of Waxia, grandchildren, Matthew  Devillier, Mackenzie Devillier, Marlee Devillier, and Kelli Robin (Taylor Ortego), Ryan Robin (Danielle) and Amber Robin, and two great grandchildren, Harper Leigh Devillier, Carson Robin, Brayden Perdue, and Brenden Perdue.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Devillier, parents, Roosvelt and Mable Wyble Fontenot, brother, Luna Fontenot, and sister, Mary Jane Richard.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will resume on Thursday 8:00 am. until time of service. The rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Sibille Funeral Home.

The family would like to express their love and appreciation to her care givers, Jennifer Landry, Ashley Fontenot and Mary Jane Higdon.
