Port Barre Funeral services for Mr Lucas Hardy, age 72, will be held at 10: 00 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2007, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Interment will be held in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Rev. Nicky Trahan will officiate the services.

Mr Lucas was a native of Arnaudville and resident of Palmetto, La. He died on Friday, November 30, 2007, at 2:30 a.m. at Opelousas General Health Systems Hospital in Opelousas..

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Marks Hardy of Palmetto; Sons, Sidney Hardy and spouse Patty of Port Barre, Luke Hardy and spouse Teresa of Prairieville, Barry hardy and spouse Milisa of Ocean Springs, Ms.; two Daughters, Pamela Hardy Reed and husband Dale of Port Barre, Lora Hardy Wheaton of Port Barre; two sisters, Nancy Stelly and husband Floyd of Arnaudville, Mathilda Landry of Lafayette; 20 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. He also was survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Hardy and Euzie Dugas Hardy.

Mr. Hardy during his working years was a farmer, oil field construction worker and he loved hunting and fishing. Mr. Lucas was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and loved spending time with his family and numerous friends. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.

Visiting hours will be observed on Sunday, December 2, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and starting Monday at 8:00 a.m. until the time of services on Monday.Words of comfort to the family may be expressed at www.sibillefuneralhomes.com.
