Port Barre – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Loyce Harmon on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Right of Committal will follow in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum. Fr. Clint Trahan will officiate the Mass.
Loyce a resident of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 19, 2021 at the age of 103, at her home in Port Barre. Loyce enjoyed her family and friends to the fullest.
Loyce is survived by her children, Bobby Ray Gaudet, Alice G. Savoie and Gayle G. Stanford all of Port Barre, 10 grandchildren, Belinda, Becky, Bobbie Jo., Robert, Ricky, Patti, Lisa, Cody, Tommy, Lori, 30 great grandchildren, 22 great- great grandchildren sister, Betty Stelly,
Loyce is preceded in death by her parents, Sulie and Odette Fontenot, father of her children, Mayon Godet, husband, Herbert Harmon, brothers, Royson “Son” Fontenot, Wedney Fontenot and Shelton Fontenot, sisters, Bernice Roy and Lucy Roy, great grandson, Jacob Grimmett, great granddaughter, Alexis Stanford, great -great granddaughters, Layla Michelle Gaudet, and Riley Higginbotham, and stepdaughter, Fanny Bryson, daughter- in- law, Syble Gaudet, and son-in-law, Ben Standford.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre form 9:00 a.m. until time of service. With a Rosary prayed at 9:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
