Louis W. Foster
Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Louis Warren Foster, age 81, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2008, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel, followed by interment in the St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau. Rev. Joe Russo will conduct the services.
Mr. Foster was born in Church Point and lived in Opelousas. He passed away at 1:45 p.m. on Monday, June 9, 2008, at Maison DeVille Nursing Home in Opelousas.
Mr. Foster was a veteran having served in the US Army during WWII and worked for the Fred Wyble oilfield construction company. Mr. Louis loved French music and also enjoyed to dance. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his sons: Jude Foster and life companion, Tina Broussard, Hammie Charles Foster and companion, Kim Lanclos of Opelousas; sisters: Gloria Noonie Frey, and Burdie Henry, both of Houma; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Mr. Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Roma Jean Robin Foster; parents, Phyllip and Amy Leger Foster; brothers: Murphy Foster and J.B. Foster; and one great great grandchild, Dylan Foster.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. until 10 p.m. On Thursday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
Pastor Benny Reppond will conduct a Reflection service at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
