Lou Dawn Dorsey

Opelousas- Funeral services for Lou Dawn Dorsey, age 52, will be held at 2 :00 p.m. Wednesday, October 14 , 2009, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Cemetery.

Dawn was born in Lafayette, and was a long time resident of Opelousas. She died on October 11, 2009, at Prompt Succor Nursing Home.

Dawn has two brothers, Stuart Dorsey and wife Elizabeth, of Lafayette, and Mayo B. Dorsey III, and wife Jody of Belle Rose, LA. One sister, Connie Dorsey, of New Iberia, LA. She also has a host of nieces and Nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Mayo B. Jr. and Louella M. Savoie Dorsey.

Dawn was a resident at the Liberty Six Group Home in Eunice LA. A special thanks to all of the staff at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Nursing Home who genuinely loved and cared for Dawn as well as the nurses and volunteers of Louisiana Hospices and Palliative Care of Opelousas.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home on Saturday, October 14, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. until time off service.
