Lottie Moscovis

OPELOUSAS-Funeral services for Lottie Pearl Kessinger Moscovis, age 88, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Rev. Kenneth Hudson will officiate the services. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.
Lottie passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015, at her residence in Opelousas. She was born in Merryville, LA. She enjoyed cooking for her family and gardening especially flowers. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her and shared her love.
She is survived by her son, George Anthony Moscovis of Opelousas; three daughters, Ida Sue Lemoine and her husband, John Cass Lemoine, Jr. of Opelousas; Betty Rose Abdalla of Opelousas; and Sandra Kay Moscovis of Opelousas; 2 grandchildren, Michelle Elizabeth Lemoine Johnson and husband, Jason Johnson; and Cindy Lemoine Jordan and husband, La'Jon Jordan; and 5 great-grandchildren, Emily Pearl Mixon, Alec Martin Johnson, Laila Sue Jordan, Aysa Cane Jordan, and Bishop Lemoine Jordan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lewis Moscovis; her son, Tommy Doyle Moscovis; her parents, James Bennett Kessinger and Susie Lewis Kessinger; brothers, Glenn Kessinger, Charles Kessinger, James Kessinger, and Donovan "D.J." Kessinger; and sisters, Addie Childs and Madge Johnson.
Pallbearers will be Jason Johnson, Alec Johnson, La'Jon Jordan, John Moscovis, Micah Moscovis, and Ted Scott.
The family requested visiting hours on Wednesday, October 21, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
