Opelousas, La Funeral services for Loretta Volentine Speyrer, 60, will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 8, 2006, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel, Opelousas, La. with a Mass of Christian Burial and burial will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery, Opelousas, La.

Rev. Nicky Trahan will conduct the services.

Mrs. Loretta a resident of Port Barre, La died at 3:25 pm, Sunday, August 6, 2006 at Opelousas General Health System in Opelousas, La.

Mrs. Speyrer was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother and worked to help people through out her life. She worked at Opelousas General Hospital for 22 years, serving during that time as Nursing and Quality Assurance Director. She received her Associate Degree in Nursing from LSU-Eunice and was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, La. Mrs. Speyrer will be missed by all that knew her and worked with her.

Survivors include, her Husband Anthony Speyrer of Port Barre, La; Sons, Marcus Shane Speyrer and wife Lori of Carencro, La, Kevin Randal Speyrer and wife Dana of Port Barre, La, Stewart Troy Speyrer and wife Lori of Leonville, La, Nicklos Scott Speyrer and wife Abbie of Atlanta, Ga, Derrick Michael Speyrer of Port Barre, La.; a Granddaughter, Amelia Faith Speyrer and two Grandsons, Caleb Andre and Pierce Alexander Speyrer.

Mrs. Speyrer was preceded in death by her Parents, Robert Troy and Alice Stewart Volentine.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Mitchell, Marcus Speyrer, Kevin Speyrer, Stewart Speyrer, Nicklos Speyrer, Derrick Speyrer and Honorary pallbearers will be Sherby Skrantz and Charles Dutch Spekschate.

Visiting hours will be observed from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Monday, August 07, 2006 and the Funeral Home will reopen at 8:00 am on Tuesday, August 8, 2006 until time of Service. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Monday Night.
