Port Barre- A Mass of Christian Burial for Lorena Quebedeaux Landry will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2016, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, LA. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum. Rev. Fr. Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass.

Lorena, a native of Arnaudville and lifelong resident of Washington, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2016, at her home at the age of 91. Lorena enjoyed being with her family and friends, she will be sadly missed by all.


Mourning her death, yet cherishing her memories are her children, Ernest Landry and his wife, Judy of Port Barre, Andrew Landry and his wife, Cheryl of Washington; son-n-law, Hurlin Dupre of Port Barre, nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and one great great-grandson.


Preceded in death by her husband, Willis Landry, parents, Dupreville and Elsie Robin Quebedeaux, son, Sidney Landry, daughter, Rose Dupre, brothers, Edwin, Antione, Wilfred, Felix and Allen Quebedeaux, sisters, Agnes Lanclos, Theresa Viviane and Amy Marks, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.


A visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. till 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
A Rosary Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.
