Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Lola Marie Lalonde, age 85, will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2008, in the St. Landry Catholic Church beginning at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Robert Romero will conduct the service.

Mrs. Lalonde was born in Cecilia and was a long time resident of Opelousas. She passed away at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2008, at Senior Village Nursing Home in Opelousas, La.

Mrs. Lalonde was a homemaker her entire life. She was a very loving mother, wife, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be missed by her family and many friends.

Survivors include her sons; Curtis Lalonde, Krotz Springs, Ricky Lalonde, Chataignier; Harry Lalonde Winnie, Tx.; daughters, Flo Dupre, Prairie Ronde, Wanda Sittig, Chataignier, Ethel Latiolais, Breaux Bridge, Jane Artigue, Arnaudville, Nell Begnaud, Cecilia, Shirley Quebedeaux, Washington, 32 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Lalonde, and her parents, Henry and Emelina Callier Angelle and 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, September 29, 2008, from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A Rosary service will be held on Monday night in the funeral home at 5:30 p.m.
