Lois Dupre Harmon
Opelousas Funeral services for Lois Dupre Harmon, age 88, born October 25, 1922 will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2011, in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.
Father Mike Arnaud will be the celebrant for the Mass.
She was a person of deep Catholic Faith and a member of Our Lady of Mercy Altar Society. Lois was born in Prairie Ronde and was a life long resident of Opelousas. She died on 5th of May, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family. She enjoyed camping with her family and friends and also playing Pokeno, she enjoyed visits with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. For the past five years confined to a Wheelchair she enjoyed watching the Humming birds around her multiple feeders.

Survivors include her loving husband, of 71 years, Marion T. Harmon of Opelousas, children Keith Harmon and wife, Pam of Opelousas, and Janice Harmon Kidder and husband, Gerald of Opelousas, sister, Helen Dupre Duplechain of Port Barre, grandchildren Karen Brown, Kevin Kidder, Jerry Kidder, Joyce Moody, Chelsea Mistric, and Katie Miller, Great Grandchildren Morgan Brown, Riley Brown, Allison Kidder, Kristen Kidder, Landon Kidder, Logan Kidder, Lane Kidder, Taylor Morales, Manning Moody, Lily Miller,
She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Edna Landry Dupre, brothers Wade Dupre and Kirby Dupre, sisters, Terrie Dupre Smith.
Pallbearers, will be Dustin Mistric, J. W. Miller, Glenn Brown, Kevin Kidder, Jerry Kidder, Ed Moody, and Jeff Reed.
Honorary Pallbearers, will be Bob Duplechain, Bill Duplechain, John Washington, Kenneth Thibodeaux, and Donald Doga, David Harmon, Tom Harmon, and Mark Harmon.

A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. on Sunday evening in the Funeral Home by Sammie Desi.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home, on Sunday, May 8, 2011, from 9 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Monday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m.
