Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2012, at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Lisa F. Macip. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas, LA. Rev. Father Austin Leger will celebrate the Mass.

Lisa was a native and longtime resident of Opelousas. She passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, at the age of 55.

She was a wonderful, loving, and caring wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Marvin Macip of Opelousas two daughters, Dr. Stacey Macip and husband, Dr. Joshua Hull of Lafayette and Rachel Macip Junot and husband, Cody of Lafayette her father, Raymond Fontenot of Opelousas one brother, Craig Fontenot and wife, Kesia of Opelousas one sister, Lauri Bond and husband, Clay of Denham Springs and one granddaughter, Emerson Hull of Lafayette. She also has two nephews, Hunter Fontenot and Jordan Quebedeaux and one niece, Sheree Quebedeaux.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Gertrude Montgomery Fontenot.

Pallbearers will be Hunter Fontenot, Jordan Quebedeaux, Cody Junot, Kyle Speyrer, Terry Vidrine, and Dale Montgomery.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, October 5, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home. On Saturday, visitation will continue from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
