Lilly Lafleur Bordelon

Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Lilly Lafleur Bordelon, 96, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2008, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Washington.

Father Nunez will officiate the Mass. Music selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus.

Mrs. Bordelon died at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 10, 2008 at Opelousas General Health System. She was a longtime resident of Washington and was currently residing at Senior Village Nursing Home of Opelousas.

Survivors include her son, Hushel Bordelon and wife, Frances Wyble Bordelon of Washington; one brother, Elias Bud Bordelon and his wife, Ludine of Washington; two sisters: Etta Bryant of West Virginia; and Jeanette Bailey and husband, Jay of Washington; three grandchildren, Randy Bordelon and wife, Vanessa of Washington; Cheryl Coburn and husband, Gary of Palmetto; and Rickie Bordelon and wife, Brenda of Prairieville; nine great-grandchildren: Wendell, Erica, and Brittnay Bordelon; Kyle, Tiffany, Derrick, and Grant Coburn; Monique Morphet; and Chase Hull; and twelve great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Bordelon was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Bordelon; her parents: Hushel Lafleur and Odette Ortego Lafleur; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers will be: Randy Bordelon, Rickie Bordelon, Gary Coburn, Wendell Bordelon, Kyle Coburn and Derrick Coburn.

Visiting hours will be observed from 2 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2008, in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Tuesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until time of service.

A rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lilly's memory to St. Jude Hospital or Susan B. Komen Cancer Society.
