Lilly went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 8, 2018. She was surrounded by her family at her residence in Opelousas. She was a faithful member of Hope Presbyterian Church, actively serving by regularly making their communion bread. She was known for being faithful and supportive through prayer. All who knew her, spoke of her kind and gentle spirit.
Lilly shared forty-three years of marriage with her loving husband, Newton Bihm. Both she and her husband were excellent Cajun cooks, frequently sharing festive meals with family and friends. She was an avid gardener, nurturing her flower beds of lilies and irises, of which she loved to share with others. She learned to sew at an early age and became a skilled seamstress, later using this gift to create items of endearment for her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren lovingly referred to her as "MeMe".
Lilly is survived by one daughter, Deborah Savoie Billiodeaux and her husband, Tom of Opelousas; two sons Mark A. Savoie and his wife, Darla Deshotel Savoie of Youngsville and Christopher "Ty" Bihm and his wife Melanie Malone Bihm of Independence, two stepsons; Randal J. Bihm and his wife Lorraine of Plano, Texas, and Ricky J. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, four step grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren, 6 step great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
