Port Barre- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for, Mrs. Lillian Quebedeaux, on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Reverend Clint Trahan will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the church cemetery.
Lillian, age 62, a resident of Port Barre, passed away on Saturday, August 18, 2018, at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, TX with her family by her side.
Lillian enjoyed cooking a home cooked meal and spending quality time with her family and friends. She loved spending time outdoors, camping and riding on the side-by-side with her husband and beloved dog, Scrappy. But what she cherished the most was time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lillian will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Welton Quebedeaux, Sr.; sons, Welton Quebedeaux, Jr. and wife, Susan, John Quebedeaux and wife, Brittany, and Scott Quebedeaux and significant other, Christal Savage; brothers, Francis , Carl, and Craig Vidrine; sister, Janice Godeau; grandchildren, Colby, Corey and Cade Quebedeaux, Taylor Roy, Dustin and Brock Vidrine, Kyle, Madelyn, Nathan, Sarah, and Rylan Quebedeaux; and great-grandchildren, Macy Stevens, Parker Quebedeaux, Holden Roy and Riley Quebedeaux.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Calvin Vidrine and Mary Lou Stelly; and brother, Ray Vidrine.
The family requests visitation be held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. The rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. by Reverend Clint Trahan. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Quebedeaux, Taylor Roy, Colby Quebedeaux, Corey Quebedeaux, Dustin Vidrine, Charles Grimmett, and Cary "Karo" Lee. Honorary pallbearers will be Cade Quebedeaux and Nathan Quebedeaux.
