Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Daville Lavergne, age 78, will be held in a private setting for family only. Mrs. Lillian went home to be with her Lord at 6:39 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at Opelousas General Health Systems, Opelousas, La.

Mrs. Lillian was born in Prairie Rhonde, and lived most of her life in Opelousas. She was a member of the Opelousas Bible Church for 40 years and served in many different ministries of the Church. She was a member of the Awana Program, Prison Ministry and a graduate of 2:7 Discipleship. Pastor Ted Hall was her Pastor. Ms. Lillian had the gift of serving and giving. She would sew and bake for nearly everyone that she knew. She loved her family and working in her garden. Her greatest passion was telling people about her Lord and Saviour.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Raoul E. Lavergne, Opelousas; son, Donald Comeaux, Opelousas; daughters, Shirley Leger Bernard and husband Milton, Leonville, Roma Daugharill and husband Roger, Denham Springs; sisters, Lou Fontenot and husband Joe, Nettie LeBouef and husband Harvey, Jr., Opelousas; grandchildren, Racheal Herpin and husband Andre, Shawnee Lauchner and husband Shawn, Casey Romero and husband Chad, Donnie Comeaux, Amy Gaiennie and husband Richard, Monica Fontenot, Rona Magallance; great grandchildren, Kaley, Layne and Tanner Herpin, Kamin Leger Zerangue, Kelsey Lauchner, Chase and Chance Romero, Christy and Bailey Fontenot, Allie Douget, Mary Virginia Guice, Calvin and Edward Gaiennie.

Preceded in death by her parents: Early Adam and Lenora Bertrand Deville; husband, Wyble Daville, son, Wayne Daville; grandsons, Chad Comeaux, David Leger, Dustin Blair Freeman and sister, Rena Richard.

There will be no visitation held for Mrs. Lillian Lavergne.
