Lester James Rudolph, born on March 1, 1951, in New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2025, at Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Opelousas, Louisiana. He lived a life marked by dedication, service, and a deep appreciation for the simple joys that life offered.
Lester proudly served his country in the United States Army, embodying a spirit of dedication and commitment that resonated throughout his life. After his military service, he returned to civilian life, where he pursued a variety of interests with enthusiasm.
In his personal life, Lester found solace and joy in the great outdoors, particularly through his passion for fishing. It was more than just a pastime; it was a way for him to connect with nature and find peace amidst the world’s complexities. Many cherished moments were spent with friends and loved ones, gathered by the water, sharing stories and laughter as they cast their lines into the waters.
Lester is survived by his brothers, Allen Rudolph of Marrero, Charles Rudolph of Port Barre, Mike Rudolph of Marrero, Frank Rudolph of Port Barre, and John Rudolph; sisters, Linda Thibodeaux of Port Barre, Brenda Rudolph of Krotz Springs, Virginia Ellis of Port Barre, Cheryl Rudolph of Lavonia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lester is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Rudolph and Mary Mayer Rudolph.
