Lester LegerbrbrOpelousas- Funeral services for Lester Leger, age 73, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011, with a service in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. br Rev. Roy Baker will officiate the service.br Lester worked all his life at Union Camp Paper Company. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. br Survivors include his; wife Joy Leger of Abbeville, LA., brothers; Floyd Leger of Victoria TX., Preston Leger and wife, Sha of Dodson, LA., and Gene Leger and wife, Loretta of Demham Springs, LA., son-in-law; Clasair Griffin and wife, Joy of Abbeville LA., numerous of nieces and nephews.br He was preceded in death by his parents; Curless and Clarice Bertrand Lager.br Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Thursday, March 31, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Friday visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. br Words of comfort to the family may be expressed at www.sibillefuneralhomes.com. br Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.br
