Lester Jeffers

PORT BARRE- A Private Graveside Service will be held for Lester Paul Jeffers at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre. Fr. Clint Trahan will conduct the service.

Lester, age 82, a resident of Port Barre, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Rita Castille Jeffers of Port Barre, his sons, Ricky Jeffers and his wife, Becky of Richard, LA., Kenneth Paul Jeffers and his wife, Burnella of Port Barre, John “Tony’ Jeffers and his wife, Christy of Bayou Chicot, his daughters, Charlene Pham and her husband, Trinh of Opelousas, and Vicky Fontenot, of Natchitoches, LA., his brother, Dale Jeffers of Arnaudville, his sisters, Bertha Jeffers Sandoz of Opelousas, and Wilmae Jeffers Gautreaux of Eunice, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Amelia Jeffers.
