Leroy Marks, Jr.

Port Barre Funeral services will be held at 3:15 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2014, in the St. Charles Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau.
Junior was a native of Big Cane and was a resident of Port Barre. He passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2014, at Lafayette General Medical Center, at the age of 70. He enjoyed yard work, grading, cooking, fishing, and visiting family and friends with his mother.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Murphy Marks, of Port Barre, his children, Steven Ryder, Sr. and wife, Amanda of Port Barre, Pam Lamke and husband, Arthur of Port Barre, daughter, Christ Huff of New Port, TN., sister, Joyce Lanclos of Kenner, LA., nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Marks, wife, Dedree Lee Ryder and daughter, Dana Polozola.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Thursday, February 6, 2014, 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:15 p.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon in the funeral home.
