Leroy Grimmett

Port Barre Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 12, 2014 for Leroy Doc Grimmett, age 77, at 11:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal and Interment will be at a later date. Bro. Benji Richard will conduct the Service.
Leroy was a resident of Port Barre. He died on Monday, March 10, 2014. He proudly served his country while in the Army. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking and hanging out with his friends. He was a great husband, dad, and grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Smith Grimmett of Port Barre, his sons, Dwain Grimmett and wife, Bonnie of Opelousas, Reggie Grimmett and wife, Lisa of Port Barre, Marty Grimmett of Port Barre, stepsons, Lance and Owen Callier of Port Barre, grandchildren, Hollie Grimmett, Chase Grimmett, Brianne Brock, Amanda Grimmett, Chelsea Stelly, Mamie Mistric, Brittany Grimmett, and Brandy Grimmett, step grandchildren, Robbie, Blake, Ryan and Scott Callier, and twelve great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Letha LeJeune Grimmett, brothers, W.J. and James Carl Grimmett, one grandson, Jacob Grimmett.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Tuesday, March 11, 2014, beginning at 5:00 p.m. all nightwake until time of service on Wednesday at 11:00
