Leroy Brown

A Funeral Service for Leroy Brown, will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prairie Ronde. Deacon Sammy Diesi will be conduct the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Mr. Leroy, age 63, passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He worked for Acadiana Shell and limestone up until his retirement. Leroy enjoyed being outdoors and fishing in his spare time. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Charlene Brown; mother, Ozea Noel; children, , Wilfred Stelly and fiancé, Paige Spencer of Opelousas, April Carriere and husband, Blake of Carencro, Shelly Richard and husband, David Jr. of Opelousas, Andrew Tramel and wife, Alana of Elton; brothers, Glendon Ray Brown and wife, Georgiana of Opelousas and J.L. Brown and wife, Janice of Opelousas; sisters, Ruth Doucet and husband, Roy of Opelousas, Genevea Pitre and husband, Ray of Opelousas, Gloria Olivier and husband, Roy of Eunice; grandchildren, Spencer Richard, Lindsay Richard, Austin Tramel, Ashton Tramel, Alyssa Turner, Kyleigh Stelly; and a host of nieces
and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Brown; step-father, Wilsey Noel and his sister, Laura Devillier.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Carl Daville will conduct a remembrance service at 7:00 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Friday at 8:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Jonathon Brown, Wilfred Stelly, Duke Landry, J.L. Brown, Shelly Richard and Paige Spencer. Honorary pallbearers will be Glendon Brown, Spencer Richard and Blake Carriere.
