Leona Ryder Devillier

Opelousas -A Mass of Christian Burial for Leona Ryder Devillier, age 75, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, in St. Landry Catholic Church. Fth. James Brady will celebrate the Mass. Interment will follow in the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

Leona passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015, at Opelousas General Health System. Leona was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family and friends. She is going to be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Leona is survived by her husband, Ronald Devillier, Sr. of Port Barre; sons, Gary Devillier and Cornelius Devillier of Port Barre; daughters, Debbie Gail Golden of Denham Springs, Sharon Elizabeth Devillier of Port Barre; brothers, Elton Ryder, Sr. of Port Barre, Roy Ryder of Miss., Lawrence Ryder and wife Loretta of Pecaniere; sister, Leola Ryder of FL.; three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elton Joseph and Sue Savoie Ryder; children, Ronald Devillier, Jr. and Cynthia Marie Devillier; sister Lorene Cricket Ryder.
The family requested visiting hours on Monday, December 14, 2015, from 2:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. A Rosary Service will be held on Monday at 6:00 p.m.
