Port Barre- Funeral service for Lennis Lalonde will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016, in the First Baptist church in Port Barre. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the Palmetto Methodist Cemetery in Palmetto, LA. Pastor Benji Richard will officiate the service.

Lennis, a resident of Port Barre, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at his home in Port Barre, at the age of 46. Lennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his bike and swimming.

Survivors include his daughter, Rose Billedeau and her husband, Joshua of Krotz Springs, his companion, Susan Miller of Port Barre, his sisters, Francis Wheaton and her companion, Brain Johnson of Crowley, Priscilla Soileau, of Port Barre, Rose Marie and her husband, Butch Martin of Gonzales, and Jo Ann Austin and her husband, Johnny of Port Barre.

Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Ethel Mouille Lalonde, brother, Joseph Lee Wheaton, and a niece, Shannon Campbell.

Visitation will be on Friday, October 28, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until time of 10:00 p.m. and will reopen Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
