Opelousas, La Funeral services for Mrs. Lena Aymond Doucet, 87, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas, La

Rev. Benny Reppond will conduct the services.

Mrs. Doucet was born in Bunkie, La, and lived most of her life in Opelousas, raising her family. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother. Ms. Lena was very devoted in taking care of her son Rodney and providing him with the care and love that he needed. Ms. Lena loved to work in her garden, to go dancing, but the one thing that she loved to do was pray the Rosary, she was faithful to her faith until the very end.

Survivors include her two sons: Albert Aymond Jr. and wife Betty of Washington, La, Rodney Aymond of Opelousas; three daughters; Yvonne Aymond Bazar of Opelousas, Donna Aymond Faul of Opelousas, Myrna Doucet Diesi and husband Charles of Opelousas; one brother; Sam LaBorde of Hesmer, La. Ms. Lena is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Lena was preceded in death by her first husband; Albert Aymond, Sr; second husband Joseph Doucet; parents; Hester LaBorde and Hazel Bordelon LaBorde; a son; Joey Lynn Doucet. Ms. Lena was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

Visiting hours will be observed on Monday, December 3, 2007, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until the time of service in the Funeral Home Chapel. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Monday night by Deacon Sammy Diesi.
