Port Barre A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, for Lelia S. Aymond, age 86 who passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Opelousas General Health System. Rite of Committal and interment followed in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre, LA. Rev. Father Daniel Picard will celebrate the Service.

Ms. Lelia was a native and longtime resident of Port Barre. She loved to play Bingo, cook and most importantly was her deep faith in the Lord. She loved spending time with her family and friends and is going to be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Ronald Aymond of Port Barre sisters, Irene Bergeron and husband Doug of Port Barre, Hazel Chustz of Livonia grandchild, Yancy Aymond and wife Renee of Krotz Springs and great grandchildren, Wyatt, Cole and Avery Aymond of Krotz Springs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Aymond parents, Paul and Nora Richard Stoute brothers, Collins, Fredrick, Evan, Merrick and Albert Stoute sisters, Lena Lacombe, Edna Devillier and Versie Bergeron.

Pallbearers will be Yancy Aymond, Wyatt Aymond, Cole Aymond, Billy Ozenne, Andy Hagan and Tommy McClelland.

Ms. Lelias family would like to say thank you to the wonderful staff of Prompt Succor Nursing Home, Dr. Patrick Gillespie and to La. Hospice and Palliative for the care and love shown to Lelia.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Monday, September 22, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Service. A Rosary Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
