Opelousas- A Funeral Service will be held for, Lee Allen Trahan, on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Deacon Jerome Collins will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Regis Mausoleum in Arnaudville.
Lee, a resident of Opelousas passed away on Friday, November 16, 2018 at the age of 89. Lee served in the Louisiana Army National Guard for three years as a Sharp Shooter and honorably discharged in 1956. Lee was self employed. He was a member of Elks-Lodge 1048, and Texas/Louisiana fishing rodeo. Lee and his buddie attended the Great Kisatchie Squirrel Hunt once a year. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by children, Joseph Robert Trahan of Opelousas, Donald Trahan and wife, Arlene of Eunice, and Deeda R. Trahan Carstens and husband, Mark of Virginia Beach, VA., grandchildren, Jason Trahan, Joshua Trahan, Crystal Trahan and Hunter Cartens, and thirteen grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Trahan, parents, Rucius and Emethilde Guilbeau Trahan.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. The funeral home will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00 a.m.
