Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Larry Louis Lacombe, age 64, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Father Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass.
He was a native of the Cottonport area and was a longtime resident of Port Barre. He died on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, in Opelika, Alabama. He was a diesel mechanic for many years. He enjoyed watching racing and was a huge Nascar fan. He also enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting.
Survivors include three sons: Michael Lacombe and his wife, Miki of North Carolina Daren Lacombe of Opelika, AL and Kerry Lacombe of Lafayette two daughters, Rhonda Breaux and husband, Bradley of Crowley and Pamela Jones and husband, Cedric of Opelousas his mother, Elsie Duplechain Aymond and stepfather, Horace Aymond of Port Barre one brother, Vondal Lacombe 9 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Ann Lacombe and his father, Herman Lacombe.
The family is requesting visiting hours be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. On Saturday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home.
