Lance Leblanc

Port Barre- A funeral service for Lance "Diesel" Paul LeBlanc will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2019, in Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. Brother Gene Gerace will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Lance "Diesel" Paul LeBlanc of Washington, LA passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at Lafayette General Medical Center. He was born to Kirtley, Jr. and Gretchen LeBlanc in Opelousas, LA on February 5, 1979.

Lance was a graduate of Port Barre High School Class of 1998. He also graduated from the NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) program at T.H. Harris. Later he earned a CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certificate. His career was spent working for Turner Industries at various locations. Lance will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Lance is survived by his wife, Ciarra Michelle LeBlanc and his children, Asher Paul and Esmae Michelle, all of Washington, LA. Other survivors include his parents, Kirtley, Jr. and Gretchen LeBlanc of Port Barre, LA; his sister, Emily Hedden and her husband, David and their children, Matthew, Alex and Colby of Derby, KS; his brother, James LeBlanc and his wife, Sara and their children, Skyla, Kayleigh, Austin, Bryce and Lindsey of Opelousas, LA; his grandparents, Malcolm and Janice Meche of Port Barre, LA; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Mary Margaret Spiess Meche; his paternal grandparents, Kirtley, Sr. and Charlene LeBlanc; and his great-grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. A Rosary Service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Visitation will continue Friday, April 26, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be, Jacob Stelly, Flappy Hutchins, Bobby Duff, Paul Wheaton, Logan Bougeois, and Johnny Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be, Alex Hedden, Dylan Argeron, Asher Leblanc, Esmae Leblanc.
