Kenneth Bourque

Port Barre A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at St. Peters Catholic Church in New Iberia for Kenneth Charles Bourque, age 52. Private rite of Committal will be at a later date. Father Charles Langlois will celebrate the Mass.

Kenneth passed away on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Opelousas General Health System. He loved building cabinets, woodworking, cooking, fishing, and loved his family and friends very much.

Survivors include his long time companion Danna Cummings of Port Barre, his mother, Marian T. Angelle of Scott, his son Joshua Bourque of Jeanerette, his grandmother Mathilde Bourque, of St. Martinville, his brothers Perry Bourque and his wife, Ferrel of New Iberia, Troy Bourque of Henderson, Blair Bourque and his wife, Lenetta of Leesville, sisters Carol Stelly and her husband, Rudy of Lafayette, Kathy McClure and husband, Lee of Woodlands TX., Monica Thompson of Woodlands TX., Keri Freeman of Maurice, Kimberly Bourque of Baton Rouge, and Heather Bourque of Coteau, his step children Beau Richard of Port Barre, Chris Rhodes and her husband, Benny of Opelousas.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, Elmo Sonny Bourque, his brother, Gregory Paul Bourque.

Visiting hours will be observed in the St. Peter Catholic Church in New Iberia on Saturday, July 14, 2012, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

In lieu of flowers of flowers monetary donations could be made to the family.
