Grand Coteau Funeral services for Katie Fontenot, age 46, were held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Fr. Johnaton Janise will conduct the service.
Katie was a native and longtime resident of Lafayette. She passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at her home.

She is survived by her children Greg Menard and his wife, Tina of Sunset, and Karrie Menard of Sunset, her step father, Darrell Credeur, her brother, Benjamin Fontenot of Winnsboro, La., two aunt, Lucy Broussard and Nela Badeaux, one grandson, Zeak Menard.

She is preceded in death by her parents Harry and Rita Stelly Fontenot, her son, Billy Menard, her paternal grandmother, Madora Fontenot, her maternal grandparents Murray and Mary Taylor Fontenot, her brother, Joseph Harry Fontenot, Jr. and her sister, Paula Fontenot.

Visiting hours were observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Tuesday, August 30, 2011, from 12 noon until time of service at 3:00 p.m.
