Port Barre Funeral Services for Karen Danielle Stoute, age 5, will be held on Friday, December 10, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with a Mass of Christian Burial. Father Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass.

Karen was a native of Lake Charles and a resident of Port Barre. She passed away on Monday, December 6, 2010, in the Lafayette General Medical Center.

She was a kindergarten student and a cheerleader at Port Barre Elementary School. She loved being outdoors especially riding four wheelers and going fishing in the paddle boat. Her true passions were her creativeness to draw, painting her nails, watching movies, and playing with her dog, Marmaduke.
Karen was the life of the party and always made people laugh. She loved spending time with her family, cousins, and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Karen gave in death as she gave in life. Her final act was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

Survivors include her father, Mark Stoute and fianc, Angie Willis of Port Barre her mother, Katie Abshire Niles and stepfather, Christopher Niles of Lake Charles two sisters, Sarina Abshire and Brianna Niles, both of Lake Charles one brother, Conner Niles of Lake Charles paternal grandfather, Buddy Stoute and wife, Mercy of Port Barre paternal greatgrandmother, Hazel Woodson of Port Barre maternal grandparents, Leah Burwell Landry and Randy Abshire, both of Lake Charles maternal greatgrandparents, Shirley Verret and Demcy Burwell, both of Lake Charles special uncle and godfather, Johnny Stoute and wife, Jennifer of Church Point aunts, Erin Madeiros and husband, Michael of Okinawa, Japan and Stephanie Witherwax of Lake Charles uncle Robert Leger of Lake Charles close friends of the family who were like sisters, Megan Wilson of Port Barre and Britney Wilson of Oakdale close friend of the family who was like a brother, Cameron Wilson of Oakdale a very special friend in her life, Shelby Ortego of Krotz Springs and a host of cousins.

Preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Karen Sue Stoute and paternal greatgrandparents, Percy Joseph Stoute and Myrtis Wilson.

The family requests that visitation be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Thursday, December 9, 2010, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. On Friday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 AM until 12:30 PM.

A Rosary service will be at 7 PM on Thursday evening in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a special account which has been set up Benefit for Karen Stoute at St. Landry Homestead of Opelousas or Port Barre.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre.
